The Work Planning View feature in FP gains part of its data via Tasks, and the other part via information you add to the Work Calendar. This feature will enable you to see if staff members are over-allocated, as well as provide the ability to quickly re-allocate Tasks to other team members.

Set Up Available Hours in the Work Calendar
From the Admin menu, choose System Set Up > The Work Calendar.
Input the Office Hours
You will land on the Office Hours tab. Begin by setting the number of hours per day of the week, that your business operates. Once set, these will be the default working/ available hours for any new team members you set up as staff in FP.
If your Office is not open on say, Sundays, put a 0 on that day.
Next, enter any office wide closures you might be aware of - such as Canada Day. Enter holiday working hours if you intend for staff to work partially that day, otherwise leave 0.
Select Add Holiday to save. Holidays entered can also be edited or deleted as needed.
All changes made to The Work Calendar will be effective immediately and will produce be reflected throughout this system in areas such as The Work Calendar, The Gantt View in Schedules (Office Hours specific) and will contribute towards capacity totals for utilization reports.
