To help you keep all your work in one place, you can upload files to various areas in your Function Point system. These areas are the Company, Note, Task, Project, Estimate or Job details pages . You can also add files when creating a Note or Task. There is no limit to the number of files that you can upload!
Adding Files from the Details Page
Start by navigating to the details page of the Company, Note, Task, Project, Estimate or Job you'd like to attach a file to. For this example, we'll use a Company.
Select the Files tab, then click the Upload File button.
- Choose the folder you'd like the file to be housed under. There will be one default folder, however you can create more if you wish.
- Add a description for the file if you want.
- Choose whether or not this file should be visible to the client.
- Upload your file.
Note: files cannot be larger than 50mb.
Click Done when you're ready.
Creating a New Folder
From the Files tab, select Add Folder.
Adding a File When Creating a Note or Task
When creating Notes and Tasks, you can add a file right away. This is useful for Notes and Tasks that are directly related to a specific file, such as asking someone to review a document.
Fill out all the necessary information for your note or task and add a file using the Click here to upload a file button or box in the bottom right corner of the page.
