To make your Function Point system look and feel like your own, you have the option to customize it with your preferred wording and branding.
Specific areas you can customize are as follows:
A first step to customizing your FP system is to add a banner that matches your company's branding.
The banner image is what displays across the top of your FP system, above the main navigation bar. This same banner is can be used for the FP Client Portal as well.
If you don't have one already, create an image file that has dimensions of 1980x89px.
Then, navigate to Admin > System Set Up > System Preferences.
Choose the Branding tab.
- Choose your banner file from your computer. Only one image can be uploaded at a time, and the system will not store older versions of the banner.
- Check this box if you'd like the banner image for your Client Portal to be the same as the one for your main FP system. There are options below to you can also customize the background of the Portal using html colour and images of your choice.
When you're done making changes, click the Submit button in the bottom right corner.
Putting Your Logo on Printouts
To make your printouts (both client-facing and internal) fit with your company's branding, you can upload your logo.
Navigate to Admin > System Set Up > Printing Preferences.
If a logo has already been uploaded, it will be visible at the top of the page. Click the pencil icon to upload a new file, or the X icon to remove this logo. You can upload one logo per Office.
By default, this logo will appear on all of your Standard Printouts. Click the Preview icon to view any of your standard printouts to see how the logo will appear.
Add Brand Templates
Should you want more prominent branding than just a logo on your printouts, you have the option to upload Brand Templates, which can include content that you would like before, after, or on the same page as printout content. Common uses for Brand Templates include adding a watermark, a header and/or footer, and cover or end pages. Once a template is in your system, you can easily attach it to any printouts.

Naming of Modules & Other System Wording
If you're finding the default wording of FP modules doesn't match the wording you use internally, you can change it.
Navigate to Admin > System Set Up > System Preferences.
Choose the Replace tab. Here you will see all the words you can change in the system marked in blue. You will also see what limitations exist for the length of the replacement word you choose, as well as some common alternatives.
When you've finished making your changes, make sure to click the Submit button at the bottom of the page.
Note: you may need to refresh your FP page in order to see the changes take effect.
