Unresponsive Login Screen
If you every find your self browsing to the Function Point login page (hosted.functionpoint.com) and you see this on your screen:
This mean that the cached information that Firefox stores to render pages faster is either corrupted or not valid. This issue was introduced with the new update to Firefox 21 on how certain web applications are cached by the browser. The quickest way to solve this problem is to clear your browser cache outlined here:
Please note you will not have to keep clearing your cache every time you wish to access Function Point; these are rare occurrences but may still happen.
Performance Slow Downs
Another issue with Firefox 21 is the noticeable slow down with Firefox 21 and Function Point (as well as other web applications). The exact cause of the slowdown is not precisely known but it can be caused by a multitude of issues such as excess toolbars, extensions and caching problems. The quickest and most effective way of resolving potential slowdowns is to reset Firefox to its default state. This can be accomplished by following the steps outlined by the Firefox support article below:
Please note that resetting Firefox will NOT wipe any essential data such as Bookmarks, Browsing history, Passwords, Cookies Web form auto-fill information but will restore specific browser settings outlined in the article above.
